St*pid Microsoft!

Microsoft is dominant in every aspect! Internet Explorer is one of their products not following web standards fully! Only the latest version of IE (version 8) supports web standards better! If you create web pages you must always check your homepages so they work with IE6 and IE7... IE6 is an hell of an old web browser! But still a numerous amount of users uses this browser!

Even IE7 is crap in many aspects! Especially for us who develop web pages!

Yesterday I made several fixes to the recordpress.org homepage so it now works on nearly all web pages including IE6 and IE7. It even looks good in that very old IE5.5!!

So now I will start working with the RecordPress themes, so they will look OK with every browser. Browsers where RecordPress and it's different themes will not look 100% OK is with IE6 and IE7. Every other browser looks good. As stated in the subject, this is a Microsoft st*pid issue!

I'm VERY glad that IE 8 is out and follows all web standards better rather than supporting it's own Microsoft so-called standards! Thank you Microsoft for taking this huge step! Since there is web standards, why not follow them!?

Since most users still uses IE6 and IE7 we must do something about the themes, so they will display correctly!

I'm currently investigating this! Since I'm not 100% satisfied with the structure and the way I have named themes related functions... There will be changes to the RecordPress structure along with modifications to existing themes! Stay tuned... Next version is under development!

Firefox on a second place! I'm a true Firefox fan but the latest version is crashing very often on the Snow Leopard system. I have at least 1 crash every day. I hope for a fix soon.

By looking at the w3counter stats Internet Explorer is still the most common browser. Sure it's okay to use Internet Explorer if you like it, but since Microsoft decided to create there own web standards this has become an issue for web developers. So it's very important to check homepages if they work on every browser and operating system. Even the same version of Firefox can show the same page differently, and what I have read it's not a Firefox issue rather than an operating system issue (It's some Linux systems that has this issue).

Internet Explorer 8 is the only web browser from Microsoft that follows all web standards fully. More and more web developers has decided to discontinue support for IE 6. I really suport this to on my other web project. But for RecordPress I think the official release and themes should work for IE6 as well.

Yes I am a FireFox fan too but the latest version 3.x is crashing very often :-(( too, with this f**king Win XP

Now I'm trying Opera since this summer... no many "plugin" avaible !
but really interresting... and may be ;-)) more speed...
